Well its will be great if it is going to work as shown in the video. As of the accuracy goes, it will require lots of time to atleast be in competion with Google. I am yet to receive the invitation. Will be able to comment better once I could experience it in real.
i HOPE it will become a competator... anyway.. way back when google was small.. i bet there were many people saying this about google vs yahoo
I agree that some big company will buy it before it could ever come into its own. Seems like Google or Microsoft will buy up everything.
google will end up buying them i sure if it does become really big. look how yahoo and msn rank up against google... it is really no comparison... google has them all by a long shot. If this new searchme.com has a different angle maybe tied in with "socializing on the net" then maybe... the visual thing is pretty neat and all.. i am sure as soon as this site is live google will have something to release also simular. bring in the best of both worlds with myspace, facebook and google.. then you might have something extra!
remember guys..google came from nowhere to beat the yahoo giants way back because of their quality..Anythings possible, especially online.Where was Facebook a few years ago?It was all myspace and friendster..
I don't think searchme will beat Google without the help of Giants like Microsoft. A competitor in the field is good.
I honestly have no interest in a search engine presenting data to me this way. I can skip the top 10 results from Google/Yahoo/MSN much quicker and find what I want faster. I predict this search engine fails miserably.
Google will buy any site they think is to become big and hurt there rev steam. Searchme looks good and nice , but who is gonna scroll thought 100's and 1000's of websites just to find the one they like, google will run the Search market for years to come, nothink will beat them.
Interesting and i expect there will be those that this will appeal to, but I'd prefer to just write a long search phrase, forget the categories and go trait to the page i want, i pretty much always find what i want in the first 5 or 6 results of google. You can read the head lines of the first 10 results in google a lot quicker than viewing each page and analising what it has to offer. I've signed up for the beta all the same thou, I'll give it a go Jayen
isn't "google" in newer dictionarys.. like the term "google it". When you get a noun that turns into a verb you have something pretty powerful. I don't hink we will be saying "searchme it" anytime soon.
