    Up until the end of the year Google was hitting my site a couple of times per day. I track it with a script on my home page. Since Christmas I haven't seen Google once. Anyone else seeing this?

    I have notived googlebot still stopping by but mostly on my interior pages. My home page has not been visited since Christmas also.

    I thought I was having the same problem, but I found out that they are still visiting as often. I think Google may be more stealthy about it now ;).

    Jeffrey, strange. Last cache 29 Dec - your sites a PR5 if I'm looking at the right one, which is the same as mine, and I've been cached daily for ages. Weird. You've not made any changes, or no accident in the robots.txt file?

    The robots.txt file was one of the first things I checked. I'm really hoping that a whole lot of people are going to come forward and say they are experiencing the same problem if you know what I mean. :D

    the past couple of weeks it seems like Gbot is attracted to pages where the content changes. All of my blog pages get eaten up quickly. The index page in question has not changed in a while. Who knows what any of that means...

    Same here..

    Index page got indexed(!) in google 24. Dec, but googlebot crawls many (up to several houndreds) of internal pages every day...
    It used to visit my index page at least once every 1-2 days before..
    (it's a PR 6 page)

    Strange.. :confused:

    My index cache is Dec. 26th also. I've noticed a big drop in googlebot visits. I normally got visits an average of 100 visits a week. Sometimes as many as 300. Since the first of the year it's only visited 4 times. :(.

    For me, yes. Homepage is cached daily but internal pages are more then 1 month old in cache. :(

    One of my sites is visited (and the cache is refreshed) on a daily basis. However one new small site of mine which I have started recently is having some serious problems getting crawled. I mean the main page is refreshed daily, but googlebot isn't willing to go any deeper.

    One of my sites is getting deep crawled as we speak. The date for the home page is Jan. 5 yet I have another site that is seeing just the opposite.

    Just hang tight. GBot is still on the move :)

    My site was indexed daily this year. I found in cache pages indexed on 2,3,4,5,6 January. I have PR4. The home page was cached yesterday
