    Define hacked, a brute attack like a DDos is fairly easy to spot and im sure that DP has been hit numerous times simply because of the ammount of people they keep banning, however a really subtle attack that was mainly looking to harvest info would be very hard to detect even by the mods.
    I would put money on the fact that it was.
