Has DP brought you business?

The subject line says it all.

I've joined quite a few SEO networks. They include SEO Chat, Search Engine Forums, and Highrankings. Highrankings won't let me post for some reason. SEF is dead. But SEOCHAT is good. They just have too many ads and it takes forever to go to the next page.

I like Digital Point. It's a little bit of everything.

I rejected a lot of PMs and e-mails regarding work of various sorts. So in that regard, it brought me business but I didn't take it.

It has brought me business in the sense that my SEM efforts are a lot more effective. And due to the networking going on here I can get links deployed real fast. So indirectly it has definitely been worth the many hours spending here.

Its brought me visitors and submitters for my Directory and Article site. That is kind of business.

It converts poorly on non-webmaster based sites selling product but duhhh, that doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out.

I think if you have a Content writing site, you would do fairly well as I have used a few people here based on their sig.

And I have purchased services from other DP members as well. One of my freelance projects I handed to a DP member even though there were plenty of bids from coders with good reviews. I chose to keep the money 'within the family' :)

I recently did that to help out a fellow DPer in need. I got great work that saved me a lot of time and they benefited.

I wish people offered up their services more in Buy/Sell/Trade. I am a big fan of paying per job no matter how small. It makes it so much easier to pay per bug or issue then per project.

I've spent the last year learning learning and more learning at DP. During this period I've spent a small amount of money marketing through various online and offline methods. As many of you know I posted an ad in the buy sell trade section asking about 'odd jobs' as I thought there might be 1 or 2 people with some stuff they didnt have time to do. I've been astonished at the amount of work that people have given me but I still regard DP as more of a learning place than a business lead place.

Thanks to those of you who did give me some work :)

I'm starting to see it as more of a place to do business...

Like I said before, I trust the people on this forum and will gladly keep the work in-house.

My business wouldn't be nearly as successful without this forum. And, there have been DP members that have shopped at my stores. You know who you are ;) ...

    Vicious,
I"m hoping that it's other females who shop at your stores and not men who like cross dressing.
