to my surprise there are still many discussions about it. I don't know why.

    1. Bing is just a random SE
    2. Bind doesn't bring me visits/$$$

I think it's an interesting conundrum because Google seemed to rise out of nowhere via word of mouth. However Bing has had much advertising. Yes maybe it's too early to tell but my gut feeling is that if Bing hasn't made impact yet then it's not going to, certainly not to the extent of Google's reach.

Personally I get more traffic from bing than yahoo, and I get a decent amount of traffic from bing for certain keywords.

No it is nowhere near the amount of google traffic but 10% of the marketshare does not seem accurate to me.

I really don't know why you have a high consideration for BING (because it's not Google) - they rank lower than Yahoo - not to mention Google. And BING's antilogarithm isn't in sync with any other search engine. Just wait a while - BING will be no more.

well google and yahoo indexed my site for 1 day.
bing didn't indexed it for a month.
even submiting the link from here http://www.bing.com/docs/submit.aspx?FORM=SURE
wont make bing index the site.
if Google is Ferari, Yahoo is Toyota, Bing is just a bycicle

Bing never can compete with Google. Even they change their site name thrice. I prefer yahoo search than bing.

We could not say bing is failure, but In comparison with Yahoo and Google, Bing has low fans and low quality.

Bing has a terrible time indexing the web. If you head over to the Bing forums you will see that the largest thread is webmasters complaining that Bing hasn't indexed their sites at all. Even if you follow of all their recommendations and have your sitemap linked in their webmaster account. On Google I have over 5,000 URLs indexed. On Bing I have 10.

    Bing = Fail

    Odd ..

I may not care much for Bing as a rule, what with all of the stealth and funky user agents they used all of last year, but Bing (msnbot) is parsing pretty regular on our end. I get lots of Google traffic, but Yahoo traffic, though somewhat less, pays out higher and more often .. Bing is right behind Yahoo in that regard.

If this kind of traffic (paying traffic) continues till January, then both Yahoo and Bing, together, would have beat out Google in money earned for the year.

Just so you know .. I don't use adwords/adsense .. I prefer to fly by the seat of my pants and do real business based on my own merit. :D

It's still very early days for Bing but I don't think it'll ever surpass Google. I can see the day where it becomes more popular than Yahoo though. Maybe :)

I think Microsoft forget that it's hard to change peoples behavior. It takes more then money and gimmicks to change peoples behavior and attitude.

Bing indexes few pages of a site then either yahoo or google. While google might index 23,000 pages, bing might only index 1,530 results.

How is Bing supposed to display better results when it can not even index a website? Search engines have to index a site before it can display results.

Submitting a sitemap to bing seems to have little or no effect on indexed pages. I submitted a forum sitemap 2 - 3 months ago, and the total number of indexed pages has barely moved.

My forum has 75,864 threads, and 986,919 post. But bing has only indexed 1,530 urls. How does that work? Bing is supposed to display results, but can not even index a site.

Why? They have only have a tiny portion of the search market and inferior product. Maintaining their lead in search is so much effort for Google it's what holds them back from focusing energy on destroying the rest of Micosofts business.
