I currently have hostgator, and they limit their sites to 25 concurrent connections. I am going to be serving downloads, and if 25 people are downloading a file, Im out of luck. So I heard GoDaddy's 4GH servers have a limit of 600 and was wondering if anyone has tested their servers. I would like to know how fast are pageloads and if someone had any experience with them. Thanks.
Yesterday i contacted hostgator and x10hosting regarding backingup and site restorations. This is how the story went. I think everybody should read this http://galaxiess2.blogspot.com/2012/05/how-did-this-all-start-i-will-narrate.html

The worst experience with Godaddy 4GH hosting(had best plan with them). Its just a fake promotion and nothing else >When i was with godaddy ,websites load time increased by 300% ,plus not loading in some areas .Therefore ,i contacted godaddy and they replied me in 9 hours with no solution . Don't go with them .There servers are oversold and not reliable !. Just they make best promotions and nothing have special in there hosting . They are good for domains only . Just try it for one month if you need solid proof .
So everyone is saying Godaddy is slow. I'm not looking to upgrade to a VPS just yet, I need some type of shared or cloud hosting service that can handle a huge spike in downloads without going down for too many concurrent connections. Hostgator is very good and their servers are very fast, but the 25 concurrent connections is the only downside for me as I am expecting atleast 40 people to be downloading a file at the same time.
Best suggested webhost for speed ,support and reliable servers : 1. Hostgator (experience) 2.Hostdime (good so far) 3.Stablehost (for less user servers) 4.Stablerdp (for cheap and stable rdp accounts) 5.Mnchost (Litespeed xeon servers + 60 days money back guaranteed) Thanks and Good Luck
Godaddy is where you go for domains. When you are looking for a solid hosting company than choose one that offers excellent uptime, 24X7 Technical support and outstanding customer support. Many good solid true hosting providers will also offer you value added packages which will save you time and money in the end. Choose a host that knows hosting an has been specifically in that industry for a good while.
Erm... I never tried before.. but you may consider to upgrade to VPS with a solid support. Or may try check out MDDhosting
