I started my first domain ever on December 26 of 2003 Purplechat.com. About a year and a half later I sold it on Ebay for 5 dollars and 50 cents.

I thought my name was good. No dashes or spaces. So I was surpirsed I only got 5 bucks even for just the name. I even tried selling insightfulreview.com. Not even a penny so I had to let it expire.

Ebay is hard. At least for domain names.

    Thanks,

Its a fast way to sell. I have sold and bought some. Does your domain get any kind of traffic, has any PR? Publish as many details as you can for buyers without compromising on any kind of privacy.
If its a good domain, no reason it won't sell.
If its a really awesome domain, do with SEDO otherwise eBAY should do it.

I have a really awesome domain and paid SEDO for a appraisal. They charged me $39.95 and appraised it at $9000.00. I found out a couple weeks later that they themselves sold a grammatically identical domain name that should be the same value -- for $55,000.00 and did not include this in their appraisal. Upon inquiring about this to them, they responded that because I bought the $39.95 appraisal and not the more expensive one, that there were "less factors" considered in my appraisal.

Like -- the most important factor of all it seems. I consider this to be dishonest and misleading and therefore I will never do business with SEDO again nor would I sell my domain through there.

I did not think that I was buying a, what it turns out to be, FAKE APPRAISAL for $40.00.
