Has anyone sent/received $1000 on PayPal?

I am about to receive this much, and want to know what the fees are for this. Sure I know I could calculate from their page, but I know payments from some accounts to my paypal have had different fees than others for the same money. So, I want to know if the same happens for different amounts.

From my experience PayPal's fees system is a weird one, so I'd just like to hear the actual fees you guys have been charged for transactions of exactly or very near $1000, and what type of account it was sent form (premier, personal, etc, verified, unverified, etc)

    Thanks!

Well if your buyer have no problem to pay $1 extra then ask him to use Mass Payment option which will only charge $1 to your buyer and you will get full $1000!

Paypal may sometimes give you some dirty bites but don't get scared as long as you are legit owner of your account.

It would be good to tell paypal before you get that much money if you have never done transaction of that much amount.
And also use Mass Pay to avoid fee. :)

If Paypal notices you to be abusing this feature too often for all high value transactions, this 'hand sent from GOD' might vanish as well!
Hence, be sure to use it wisely! :)

You can prefer Escrow service for such higher amount instead paypal....

Paypal sometimes get limited if you dont provide invoice or supplier contracts..

You can go for xoom if it has less fees for this amount.

Paypal fee are varies as it depend on where is the funds are coming from. Use this Paypal fee calculator to calculate how much money you will receive : http://www.rolbe.com/paypal.htm

Mass payment is good option if you want to avoid the fees. But it only work if the sender use either Premiere or Business account only.

Paypal will take a transaction fee for sure. For $1000 they will take $46 as of now.

But your client wont get charged .. they just need to pay only $1000 but you will be charged.

The last time I received a $1500 payment via PayPal, PayPal limited my account and asked me to supply them with documents to confirm this payment. After providing these documents, PayPal froze this payment for 90 days and claimed they will review this payment (WTF)... 180 days later, I got the money, then I closed my PayPal account for good
