I am interested in opinions about the book "Search Engine Optimization: An Hour a Day" by Jennifer Grappone and Gradiva Couzin. It gets pretty solid reviews on Amazon, but I was wondering if it provided any worthwhile advice on optimizing specifically for Google placement. Thanks.
I have never read it or heard of it. However, if it is a "paper" book there is a good chance it is out-dated.
Isn't it sad, but true... Look in the library for internet books and the info is more like reading a history text.
It caught my attention because it was published in June 2006. But, I guess in Internet time, this might as well be ancient history. I think I will stick with the great advice that this forum provides instead.
I liked the book, though it might be a difficult read for some people. I especially liked sections about creating an overall plan - something that most webmasters (even businessmen) fail to consider. I say the book is a worthwhile addition to your arsenal of SEO and webmaster techniques. And while you're at it, pick up a copy of our SEO ebook - it pretty much contains the same information in 1/10th the space - plus our ebook comes with free software, free scripts, calculators, clickable links, 100's of directories and it's in an easy-to-navigate HTML format.
