I too receive regular checks from CJ.com. Iconicads.com is another affiliate program I make money at. Lots of programs that pay really well.
As a publisher (account #3383677) in the Commission Junction affiliate program I have sent 350 clicks to partner businesses this year. CJ claims none resulted in sales which is not only extremely unlikely, it's factually incorrect. I know this because one of the clicks was from me and I purchased a pair of earbuds from ThinkGeek (Order #45ca7801e). On October 1st I received and email telling me I had 30 days to make a sale or they would assess a penalty, which they did nearly a week before the deadline. The rep (Peter) also told me I had to contact ThinkGeek directly to get credit for sale, which I did. ThinkGeek informed me that CJ handles all commissions. In other words, the rep lied and gave me the runaround in order to run out the clock. I contacted CJ again with receipt of sale, which I originally included when I contacted them a week ago but got no response since they told me to contact ThinkGeek. Perhaps if you are a huge website you will make you money but otherwise they play games with fees to make sure they never pay out, which would be fine (legally speaking) if they actually followed their own rules instead of moving deadlines and refusing to count documented sales. Be wary of signing up with them!
This is troubling to me. Are you saying that CJ were penalising you for not making a sale of that ThinkGeek were? I have also just booked two lots of accommodation with Booking .com using my Aff link. As a Newbie to Affiliate Marketing, I will be watching closely.
to the TS, yup, though I don't really take affiliate marketing seriously, i'm still able to earn at least $100 a month from CJ. i've tried linkshare but i don't like it. my only struggle is that since i'm from the Philippines, i'm banned from most good advertisers in CJ (damn spammers) but i was still able to find ones that gets me earning. i'm pretty sure i could earn more if i focus more attention to this.
I get every month handsome income from CJ. Promote related products which is actually match your website content. Best thing of store cookies so you will get when user purchase something from that merchant you refer to them.
Hi All, just checking to see if you only join a single affiliate program or do you join a few like CJ, Clixgalore and ShareAsale etc? Thanks
The little bit of luck that I had with CJ - $45 in commissions that were later taken from my account before I could cash out lol..
In my website I give a list of the best affiliate programs. Check these: Linkshare, ShareASale, Neverblue, ClixGalore, ClickBank, MaxBounty, Peerfly
I just made $120 yesterday just promoting 1 affiliate program. There are certainly a lot of good companies on cj and there's without a doubt a lot of money to be made.
