    Hi everyone
    Im after some advertising for my business, and I came across a business directory in Australia.

    Just wanted to know if anyone else uses them and what the traffic is like.

    He looks very cheap and professional, but im not sure what kind of activity is going on, on the site. Can someone please let me know before I sign up.

    Monica, these tend to be a waste of money, so I would not recommend using it.

    No, of course it is not! The best way to increase traffic is by ranking higher in the SERPs. This can be accomplished by having excellent contents, and backlinks from good sites. Directories don't tend to be considered good sites by Google. :-/

    I partly agree with you. Agree with good and fresh content to hank higher on SERPs, also backlinks from good sites. Building up relationships in Foruns, Blogs and other websites.
    Directories still play their game in terms of reliability within search engines. But of course GOOD Directories, as Yahoo or BOTW.

    Also agree with you I wouldn't pay for that website.
