If you have installed REv Sharing on your forum I"d like to hear what script you used and if you had any problems in the process and how it is working out? Thanks in advance, Rob
Hi, I use Adsense Revenue Sharing which is fine, a littke bit of manual hacking to set where you want the adsense to appear, but apart from that it was fine .... I've had do problems with it and it seems to be working fine .... the problem is getting your users to start using it Cheers ... Gerald.
It doesn't matter if the majority of users care or not ... it's an added feature which will appeal to some people which use your board. Besides, it shows to the users that you appreciate their support and are willing to offer them something in return ..... Even if they don't use it .. the thought is still there
That is my plan. Users can go to any forum they want. Try and let them know you appreciate their efforts especially threads. I know I appreciate it
I tried to install it, but it didn't want work. Plus, to be honest, I earn little enough as it is; it's not as if I sit back earning thousands of pounds a week.
Just a theoretical question: Do you think that if you offered an incentive to start threads people would start more which would bolster more posts and generate into more members? (Just a thought). I think it's highly dependent on the topic of the forum. If your members doing anything even remotely money related I thnk it's more open accepted.
I'm not sure, I have a feeling that most of my membership probably wouldn't even have an adsense account.
It's up to you then. I just installed it last night with ALOT of help from Gerald and I'll see what happens. Now have to build the FAQ and announcement. Since my forum is for bloggers I'd assume most have an adsense and aren't against making some extra $ It's only a little line under OP on my forum. I did make $0.12 today though from 0 and I installed it last night... Time to retire!!!!
Installed. Worthless. In web development forums adsense is useless. I make 1-2 USD in months. I have awesome results with Text link ads and will also sell ads on my own.
I'm using vb ad management. The only thing it needs is a channel field, but I think I can manage adding that myself.
