I heard that within a year they are going to shut down the current internet and open up an Internet 2, which will have fees for commodities such as E-Mail. Has anyone else heard or discussed this? Here is the official site's link: http://www.internet2.edu/
Why will big companies like hotmail, gmail care abt this why wil they make thier services paid ?? desnt sound logical
I don't believe this , it is not possible logically...... Even though it is introduced there won't be more to use it..... The power of present Internet is even a poor one anywhere in world can access a common site which is accessible for big $$$ owners. That is everything is open wide and common as air and water....
Must be the season: WHAT A SNOW JOB!! Here's an excerpt from the described website: "Internet2 provides high-performance networking among participating members, as well as other organizations whose connectivity benefits higher education in the United States."
As things move on, the free services will be slowly changing over to paid ones. But I dislike any censorship for the internet in its second avatar...
LOL.. thats sounds really funny to me, as many people still dunno how to use internet even now, and theres another upgraded one..
I do not believe that anything of such a kind would take place....at least in the near future. People do pay to access and use internet and the revenue model is quite stable in each segment..imo Regards, RightMan
lol - complete rubbish, the timescale alone made me laugh out loud. its taken years to carry out the digital tv swithover in the UK, which is still ongoing, let alone something on the scale of the 'internet'
Never heard of it and what's the point? Companies can already charge money now. What would be so different, easier, and revolutionary? The information age is here with the internet we have now.
