Has anyone had Success with Article Marketing?

I am interested to hear about other people who have used Article Marketing to gain traffic/popularity/and backlinks?

How did you do it?

 

i am curious too.. everyone is talking about bum marketing but if done manually can be a lot of work to b done.

I've had lots of success with it, so I am just wondering if anyone else has........

 

I've done a lot of article submission and it really works. I usually do it to get better ranking for my sites (lots of backlinks), but not for affiliate marketing.

Since it works for backlinks, I don't see why it woldn't work for affiliates.

The big thing I noticed is that you don't post your affiliate link directly in the article, but create a "squeeze page" where you describe the product you are offering and post your affiliate links there.

 

Souds like youve got a good idea there with the squeeze page!!

I use them to promote my websites as well, but never used it for affiliate marketing, guess I should try it out.

 

Have used it for one of my websites, submitted around 20 articles and have had 3 sales amounting to almost $200.

I am aiming to submit a lot more articles on a regular basis.

 

I am sorry but I beleive that you are going to have to go into more detail about this method..............it sounds like the method that everyone else is using

Articles works really well if done properly.

For example - my marketing blog gets about 20-50 uniques/day from 1 article that I submitted a few weeks ago. When I last checked on google a few days ago, only about 30 sites were showing the article so far. So for an hour of work in creating the article, and the $2 it cost me to distribute it, I've already seen roughly (30/day x 14 days = 600 unique visitors).

If I were trying to make money, I would have already seen a good return on that. 600 visitors would turn into about 1500 page views, even if I only had adsense I could have easily made $10-15 off that. But that's if I was doing it to make money, my blog doesn't display ads at all.

I've had some articles that were getting 500+ visits every day from just articles.

 

Does anybody have their own article program where people can join your program and publish your articles on their websites? I'm going to do this. Will Google punish me somehow for duplicate content if I put up my articles on my website and hundreds of people are using them on their sites?

That is a very impressive record that you have got there. Seems like you know what you are doing when it comes to article marketing..........would you care to share with us where you learned these skills? Did you read an e-book or 2 that really helped you out?
