Has anyone had any success with buying web traffic?

Just wondering if buying web traffic is worth it or not. I seem to hear a lot of bad things.

 

I would`nt even bother buying traffic 99.9% of it is useless and crap

 

Yeah! It wont work anymore because nature of traffic never suits you for your site! Keep trying to generate very own traffic

i would assume its all automated robots.. and not really individuals. provide quality content and the traffic will come!

 

Depends on where you're buying it from. In most cases its just robots (a waste). The only time I've seen it work is buying stumbles from stumbleupon.

 

If your goal is generating sales or revenue then forget it.

Buying traffic is only good for padding your stats and making a website look like it has more traffic than it really does.

 

Yeah only from adwords though.

 

I think the best is to build traffics manually or use Adwords

For me its a waste of money coz the traffic will not stay forever.

The only way it works is that your lazy to work on getting traffic to your sites by promoting it.

 

off course it depends on the quality of the traffic and what ou want to achieve.

 

Yeah, my view would be similar to most that have been posted here unforenately

very few traffic sellers offer real qualify visitors that will actually convert to anything other inflating your site stats which anyone with knowledge will see the traffic is not natural > invest your money on something else that will help bring organic targeted traffic mid to longterm.......

I suspect even those that offer like tracking statistics to buyers to show its real can still be faked or are just some automated peice of software on server that provides fake hits

I cant see any other benefit than maybe to get someone viewing a new site OR trying boost alexa rank which there are free ways to do that if that is important to you.

Manual Traffic exchanges are always rated as useless but atleast they are more trustworthy and offer views of 15-30 seconds by people - whether they convert to a sale of an item or service is another thing. It depends on what you offer and whether people need to buy it so luck and timing are crucial. I had some conversions via manual TE's but google adwords been the best if u can afford the $

 

Have to admit, have only tried this once....and had no response whatsoever. Would never do it again. And judging from the majority of responses on this thread, this seems to be the general consensus.

 

Thanks for all the responses so far. I think everyone here has convinced me to stay away from buying web traffic.

 

You can send thousands of overseas junk traffic to your self with a certain program.
The traffic is real, but its all from overseas so its probably useless to you.

 

Save your money and don't buy traffic. Almost all of it will be useless.
