I've never tried it, and probably never will. For one, I don't focus on FB pages, I have my efforts elsewhere, but they're still really cool. The other thing is I don't see how you could buy fb fans and have them be really targeted to what you're offering. It just doesn't make much sense to me.

 

Fanpages are really good for getting your name out there but i would get fans the old fashioned way and get your friends to become fans and then ask them to spread the word so you can grow your fans naturally. This whole buying fans things sounds rather spammy to me, just my opinion tho.
