Has anyone had Any Luck Using Google Base?

    Just wondering if anyone has had any luck using Google Base for selling anything?

    I have used it for personal use on a number of items with no luck.

    i have a marketing campaign going on base right now, but havent even got 1 hit from it.

    Nothing from mine either. Here is my take on it:

    1. Google is king of buzz / viral marketing... I could speculate a lot more into this one, but I will stop there.

    2. Their Brand is being diluted from all the different areas they are moving into.

    3. People are posting to Google Base due to #1

    4. No one is looking to buy there because of #2 ... and personally I think the whole Google demographic consists of more tech related & professionals. The people that fall outside of that demographic use Yahoo... which is the majority of people who I think would use be using this tool to buy things.

    Personally, I find Craigslist and eBay to be a lot more usable at this point. I think it's because the Google Base is just not targeted enough at this point and from the buyer perspective it's too difficult to find what you want.
