Hi, Just curious if anyone has any experiences in that. if you get turned down, do they allow you to make any change they need you to? or is it a one shot type of deal, if they don't think it's good enough, your money is gone, no emails anymore?
It's helpful for new sites that want to gain authority quickly. But the way I see it, it's more valuable to get a backlink with anchor text from a relevent website.
Yes, they do turn down sites, and steal your money after (no refunds). Y directory is NOT worth $299!
I wouldn't buy it today, its a waste of money. It doesn't mean what it once did and you won't get any traffic from it.
well, it is not the right forum for the topic, should have been posted under Yahoo forum. i myself paid for few submissions and all of them got accepted. just because we are paying doesn't mean that Yahoo will have to accept our sites. the site still needs to meet the acceptance criteria as Yahoo only accepts sites that meet certain standards. the sites i usually submit are either mine or my client's and all of them are 100% affiliate focused. still they get accepted because they are all content rich and well designed. so make sure your site not only has affiliate links all over but have good content and most importantly, LOTs of content so that it more looks like a resource site than an affiliate front it is also important to make sure you submit the site with proper submission details. you may have a good site but if your submission details are poorly crafted, you will not get accepted
What's the package for this inclusion. I know you got backlinks for this but aside from that what other benefits you can get if you paid $299 just for inclusion?
thanks for the info. Yes, I will be checking out their rules or guidelines for sure. and thanks for the tips of building enough contents first on my site. for people think it's not worthy it, well, all I can tell is that it depends.
I doubt they would, but I don't think $299 is worth getting into a directory for :/ I could keep myself hosted for another couple of months with that instead and start doing my own SEO work...
