Has anyone got any experience with Revsense Contextual advertising script?

    Hi,

I just bought this after looking at the demo and now realise that it is not nothing like Adsense. It's either that I have not quite figured out how to use it or it is a script that has nothing much special about it.

Firstly, I wanted to use it to get advertisers where they bid up against each other. That is great, but it doesn't seem to work the way I want it to.

If someone bids $0.25 CPC and then another bidder bids $0.20 CPC, then ther one with the highest CPC will get their ad shown, which is what I want, but the downfall is that it will get shown on every single page no matter how many pages that same visitor goes on. So if you have a 160x600 zone set up on your site, you could have 1,000 advertisers, but only 1 advertiser will get their ads shown which is the highest bidder.

I thought they would have thought about doing it better than that as it is useless like that and any marketer would know that. What's the chance of you getting a click on an ad that is shown to the visitor on every page that he/she visits. It's better to have different ads.

I would have thought that it would have worked something like this:

When a visitor goes to your site, the highest bidded advertisers ad gets shown first and when the visitor goes to the next page it will be the next highest bidders ad that will then get shown and so one. Because it is done like this, advertisers will bid higher to get more exposure, which is likely to result in more clicks at the end of the day.

If only 1 of the advertisers ads get shown on every page then the other advertisers would have spent money to advertise on your site and would never end up using it unless they pay higher than the top bidder and then if they pay higher that x top bidder will not get their ad shown ever again unless they bid even higher.

Although the earnings could go very high this way, I wouldn't think they would, I would personally think that you would loose advertisers this way and my way that I gave aboth is better.

I have only tested this script for a few hours, so I may have missed something and it may work the way that I want it to. If it does then please could someone tell me what I have to select to do this.

    Thanks!

I Do not recomend it as it is quiet outdated,
I also looked at the source codes for testing and found out that there are many vulnerabilitys, However dont take my word for it, There should be another reply soon.

You should really look into inclick, instead of revsense.. Far superior in every respect.

I have used revsense for a while.
It's probably the worst script I saw...

I was thinking of using it just on the site and not produce a contextual advertising network that has publishers like Adsense.

I think inClick would be a good fit. You, as the system administrator, can turn inContext on and off (inContext being the contextual engine). You could just use the channels to divide the system up ad needed and deliver on just that.
