The only time I go back to IE is when a website doesn't support Firefox. Otherwise, there is no reason for me to switch back. Firefox is great.
For Sure I will not go back for IE , FF seems more convenient but later on this day I use Google Chrome. It is faster than FF ,perhaps because my FF contain many bookmarks ,so become slow.
I still like FF, it is a very good browser in the long run, (but I think IE is too). One thing I love about FF and use it for sometimes are the plugins (which IE doesn't support)! Cheers,
I have used IE7, firefox 3.5, and Opera and I have to say IE7 was the best, Firefox is second, and I just started using IE8 but its slower, otherwise I will be using only IE8.
OMG! I don't think that anyone will ever switch back to IE after using FireFox. I tried it once but then I quickly came back to FireFox. @ Cre8tiveMedia The one thing that IE should do that Firefox doesn't is - STOP DEVELOPING NEW VERSIONS OF THE BROWSER! Theres no chance that FF will beat IE. And after the arrival of Chrome, its difficult for IE to stay alive.
IE doesn't really control the desktop and file system. You are probably confusing it with Windows Explorer, two very different tools. To remove IE, go to Control Panel's "Add/Remove Programs" function. Once the list of programs is displayed look at the left margin. There's an option to Add/Remove Windows components. Click it, uncheck IE and click next to finish. IE will then be gone. /*tom*/
Wrong. Portions of IE are built into the OS as well as Windows Explorer. That's why you can enter a web site address into the address bar and access it. This is all part of the reason Microsoft has paid billions in fines to the US Justice Department and EU and they are under Federal oversite to break out IE as much as possible for this very reason. IE cannot be removed, you can only hide it from the user.
Like others i too am a firefox fan.. microsoft should first launch windows 7 with a new ie which is better than ff to regain the market
No one would like to use ie after using firefox. But i sometimes have to use it as some site which i use are not fully supported by ff. So use ie 2 open only one site. Else ff is best. Also some find ff hard 2 use those who r regular user of ie and cant adapt to ff.
I have been using firefox now for 6 month straight I will only go back to IE once in a while to check to see how the website looks there if needs rearanging other than that I E sucks.
I also use IE mainly to check how my new web site looks. And also if I want to use the Alexa toolbar installed in it.
I only use IE to see if something I have coded is broken in it. That is the ONLY time I will ever use it. Firefox is always my default
No, FF is my number 1, but sometimes crashes but still it is best browser. Opera is my number 2, google chrome 3, safari 4, and IE last, number 5.
Ever since I switched to Firefox, I never bother to look back and use IE except maybe to check how my website would look viewing in the browser
