Has anyone get banned because of PayPerPost

I've been reading a lot of news and buzz saying that Google is penalizing paid links and reviews.

Does anybody know whether posting a paid post (PPP) or review or even selling link will get my site banned from Google or not?

No post/link sellers don't get banned. They just don't pass pagerank to the buyers. Unfortunately for buyers, its pretty much impossible to tell if a link is working for them or not. Good for post/link sellers.

How can the Google bot know if a lik is paid for or not?G has a plan implemented by way of a "snitch" service that many competitors are using to turn sites in. don't you think it would be impossible for even G to sniff out paid links?

If so we should all report the biggest newspapers in the world and make sure that all the content from the times and other big papers are penalized because they all work the same way. Money under the table etc..

Yeah I saw several posts on some blogs which bash PayPerPost and other bloggers who sell paid links or reviews and I was kind of freaked out.

If google does indeed ban paid links or reviews then they should ban first MSNBC, Forbes, Reuters etc since they all sell advertisement spots in their site in form of links and in form of advertorial (for company with hundreds thousand dollars to spend).

    Thanks for the clarification :)

Yup, Google has been slapping sites page rank in some instances 2 whole points downward because of sites having badges posted on them. PPP is now trying to use their own metric called RealRank to possibly keep bloggers in their network.
