I'm wondering if anyone has filed for a trademark, and if so I have a question. I'm working on my trademark filing. Can you trademark your company name and slogan under the same trademark or does that require 2 trademarks?

You are going to want to file on each one separately. Make sure you understand the process (check for any prior usage, just not registered marks) and what it is the USPTO wants you to send them. If you make a mistake, you are out the filing fee and the process starts all over again.

I decided to use a lawyer who specialises in these things. On the face of it, it cost a lot of money for stuff all. But I did get a very precise, well-written application that covered all the bases better than I could have done myself. I think it was worth it.

We also used a lawyer for our trademark.... we trademarked the word PIMPIN in class 42 in the UK, US and Australia.

It does cost a lot to use trademarks attourney but it does help as they know what they are doing and they give you the best possible chance of your trademark being approved.
