Well it's possible that google has overlooked this stuff so far. But on the other hand they might have also created a solution for it already.

Messing up your competitors game also happened when abusing their adsense account. You could use their customer ID and place it on forbidden websites to show advertisement. When google finds that out, the competitor gets banned from adsense. However recently google has made is possible for everyone to " approve " the websites the code is being placed on. So now you can protect yourself from this abuse.

But let us know how this turns out after some experiments!

No.. Linking out to a banned domain will for sure transfer the bad effects, not testing that, Just the 301 and its effects.

    Thread Revived!!

    Results of the experiment:

No Penalty Occurs if you 301 redirect a banned domain onto another domain, Infact you can solve the problems of being banned by buying another domain, host it on a different IP and use the backlinks of the previos domain ;) Proved.

Thanks to SweetFunny for the contribution of his domain for this experiment.

PS: just in case your domain is banned at google for some reason which isnt on-page, then buy a new domain and host it on another server, dont link the two, just 301 old domain to the new one and get back with your work :)

Yes it's true, redirecting the banned domain to a good domain doesn't harm the good domain... Which is what i was hoping Google would do.

It also didn't "revive" the banned domain in Google. As you can see by this the domain has 110,000 backlinks and 464 indexed pages in Yahoo but zero for both and not cached in Google.
