I just got an offer to buy a domain I have listed on Sedo and wonder if anyone here has ever sold through them? I accepted their offer but wonder if the other party is somehow legally required to follow through... or could they flake out and not buy if they like? I only ask as one time I tried to sell a domain through Godaddy and the so called "buyer" claimed they made a mistake - so, I never got paid.
I recently registered on Sedo for buying and selling and received a contract to sign on which it states exactly that.... "You are legally obliged to buy if you make an offer which is accepted" so to answer your question, yes they are obliged... In practice however this may be a bit more difficult to enforce I suppose...
Well yes, you are supposed to be obliged. And before you make a bid you need to provide some personal details. For example they verified my GSM phone number by sending me an sms with code. Sedo is very slow. You can track what is going on with the deal in your control panel, but once again they are really slow in everything.
Hello, I have tried, but really I did not sell any domain, but of course depend of the domain name I was trying to sell mynyguide dot com a guide of NY Best, Jakomo
I called them today and they said the peeps buying my domain are legit and have bought many times.. so it looks like I'm good to go. Hopefully so!
I have sold approx 40 domains on SEDO. No problems unless the buyer does not submit the funds to SEDO for the escrow part of it. Not may of those happened to me.
