I have to disagree with you on that. My last fast I only gained back about 1/2 of what I lost. Maybe it's different for different people. Also body burns fat... what do you think the fat is there for?
I used to do it for religious reasons (back when I used to be semi-religious). After getting into nutritional science, I realize now that fasting is dumb (no offense to anyone who does it, but if you spend the hours I have researching just how your body works and in particular, how metabolism works, you'll realize this).
You guys that fast for 40 days and 40 nights, here's a little suggestion...the money you would of spent on the food you would of had during your fast if you hadn't of fasted, donate it to an organization that feeds the poor! As for me, I fast just two meals a month. I would never be able to last even close to 14 days, let along 40 days and 40 nights!!!! Time to go see a doctor!!!! Any thing else you can eat to get other colors, or even better, pooping out rainbows!!!
One day for da surgery. Then before having da camera stuck up my butt and around da corner and around da other corner ...two days on clear liquids!!!! The night before having da colonoscopy, due to being on two things of laxative, by morning I felt like a lady, siting down on da pot and having 100% water coming out of...um...my planet...Uranus...every 10 or 15 minutes!!!!! er, was that too much information!!
Well, I fast once in a week. My fasting consisting of refraining from lunch.I dont eating anything during that time.
