I recently received an email from a website called Topportunities asking if they could review my Clickbank product. Has anyone else dealt with them? They seem legit and promote themselves as a site that is looking to help cure the whole Clickbank scamming taboo. Just wondering before I send a free sample of my site to them. They are at http://www.topportunities.net Any info is appreciated because it sounds good, but you know how that goes. Thanks!
Lol, they don't look anything special to me - they have 0PR, and no traffic according to Compete analysis. Also on their homepage is an offer to "Get Free Website Traffic" which sounds like paid to surf / junk traffic type thing anyway... Anyone can promote you if you are on Clickbank anyway, they don't even have to ask really - I have people promoting us who I don't even know who they are or where the traffic is coming from...
Thanks. I don't think they are scamming, but just wanted to get someone else's opinion. Guess they are trying to make a buck like the rest of us. Have a good one.
Yes - I sent Topportunity copies of my two products about a week ago. They seemed legit and I'm always willing to work with anyone who can help promote my products. So far, they haven't written the reviews yet, but she said there were a few products she had to do first. She said it would be about a month. I'm not expecting a huge surge, especially since I have a niche product, but every little bit helps.
Thanks fireboat. That makes me feel much better. I'll send along mine now that I know someone has dealt with them. I agree that every little bit helps.
I get similar stuff like that all the time in my email. I assume there are companies that contact CB vendors for those kind of stuff.
Rogersfamilyx7 - She emailed back today and told me the date my review will become available (I forget the exact date, but its sometime in mid-sept). webtester01 - Yes, I get similar stuff from time to time too. Most of the time it doesn't result in any sales, but a few have turned out to be great affiliates that sell many products through their site. One was an article marketer and he makes several sales a week - certainly glad I responded to him and sent a free copy. If an affiliate wants a review copy or something to that effect, I usually just send one along - anything to get more sales.
I sent my sample and also received an expected review completion date. Looks like she is also going to post the review to some article directories. Hope it get me some traffic. Thanks for the push fireboat.
Markov - you could probably email them and ask them to review your product, if that's what you mean. They are contacting people so I don't see why you couldn't contact them and tell them you would like them to review your product.
Just wanted to post that I received my review and I was very pleased. Topportunities posted it on AssociatedContent.com, Facebook, and their website. I am not sure if it was sent to a mailing list which was originally promised, but I checked my clickbank analytics this evening and my traffic had fluctuated a bit. overall, I am very pleased. Once again, thanks for the push, fireboat.
Just by looking at the quality of the website they don't seem very legit. They even have a counter on the bottom of their page that goes up everytime you refresh the page.... Looks like other people have gotten reviews though so who knows how legit they are. I personally wouldn't send them a copy until I can trust them forusre.
LeDangles - Why not send them a copy? I'd send ANYONE a free copy if they were even remotely serious about promoting it, writing about it, plugging it, or reviewing it. Doesn't cost me anything to send a review copy. What's not to trust? I am an affiliate and a publisher. When I promote products on my sites, I always ask for a review copy so I know what I am promoting. I give the woman at Topportunities credit for doing the same thing. I wouldn't trust someone who uses an affiliate link to promote a product they have never actually seen. I do trust those who actually look at the products they review.
