This guy offers a database of 10,000 links for around $200 US. A friend paid up via paypal around 10 days ago, and still hasn't received the db.. (he's received the usual ongoing excuses like, my computer is being repaired, and a few days later: it'll be with you first thing tomorrow) - all the while, I for one have continued to receive link exchange requests from this guy, but my friend is still waiting. I've advised him to pursue it with paypal, but he wants to wait a little longer etc. Anyone know of this Chris Morgan, or had any dealings with him ? The URL is here Cheers JL
Hmm, this site looks a bit suspect. Gives me the odd impressions of all those 20 million email address scams that you get spammed about constantly. In my opinion, this looks like a sham, and if you haven't received any of your emails yet, then I would by all means contact Paypal, have them put up a dispute for unreceived goods, and try to get your money back.
I'd have to second that...the site alone is enough to raise a flag for me. I would contact PayPal and see if you can't get your $$$ back.
Well, it seems I jumped the gun a little (reasonable, given the circumstances). Apparently, he has for the most part delivered (well, 8500 of the 10,000 promised, with the remainder on the way). Yes, I'm surprised too, but I've seen the spreadsheet, and it all seems in order. We'll soon see if it yields any volume for an up and coming campaign. Cheers JL
(digging up a dead topic) Out of curiosity - Since you've gotten the database, and I presume email a few of the people on it; have you gotten any takers that you have exchanged links with?
