Funny Mr. Jones, the only thing you feed me is witty remarks, personal attacks, and threats to remove my site from the ODP. Funny that the only thing you have against me is that I've told only the truth. yeah, yeah, reply with something else on a personal level, but remember, I've backed up each and every claim I've made with links to back my side up. You can NOT say the same...

If my complaints are unfounded, then do explain just how that is so? you yourself have backed up several of the things I've said, but when I say them you say I'm wrong. Many of the other editors are the same way. Take Nebby for instance, I tell some bloke to follow the guidelines, and she tells me that my advice is shaky, and wouldn't ya know, not a single editor had a big enough pair to step in and tell another editor that following the rules was a good thing.

So yeah, yeah, keep telling people I'm talking out my backside, but know too, I'm only quoting editors.

Naah. Just made a suggestion to Dmoz. Don't recall addressing any remarks to you. See title above for reason why.

Yes, making personal jabs at me and my sites is a suggestion. Not to me, but about me. Thanks for clearing that up. It's good to know you are not only a troll, but a top notch one.

Though, heh, it you think what I am doing is wrong, because it's not working, remember, you've been trolling me for just as long. Maybe you should take your own advice? Or are you above such things not making personal attacks?

i was waiting for couple of years (!!!) for my site been listed when I was offered to pay $300 for that. So the day I paid for the submission, my listing appeared there....however in a month it was already deleted:confused:
the thing is the guy told me that he was paid for the site appeared at the directory and he did what he was paid for:(

anyway there are too many websites that do not meet the submission guideline but the sites are there;)

Advising old friends about pest control doesn't require explaining it to the cockroaches.

Yep, that will do it every time.
The ODP is a free directory, so paying for a listing, or even trying to bribe an editor is not only completely unnecessary, but will result in automatic banning of your site.

However, if you have definite proof that a specific editor has accepted a fee, please report it immediately through the public abuse reporting tool (http://report-abuse.dmoz.org/). Such actions are regarded very seriously indeed, and reports are always quickly investigated and dealt with.

Don't start this can of worm again. it has been many times discussed and we all know the amount of systematic corruption in DMOZ including at highest level and to say otherwise is moronic in light of all evidence.

No need, just read this forum about DMOZ price list, all the garbage sites that are listed and how your Admin disappeared from the forum when I started to list the sites.

Coming from Bulgaria, you must know how things work. DMOZ is like Bulgaria, only worse. :D

Which would be? You've made this claim many times over the years Julian but I've never seen you produce any. If you're too shy to do so or fear retaliation, feel free to PM it to me.

If all you have is innuendo and 'everybody knows' don't bother.

That was what orlady said before I start posting the sites and she disappeared. Just search in this forum for my old posts and you will find more than enough examples.

All 8000 odd? I'm not manipulated into wasting weeks of effort that easily.

Please, either put up or shut up. If you have all the info at your finger tips, it should be easy enough to provide a few examples.

You really take the prize, are you telling me that you are not even smart enough to search the forum?
Look under advanced search, with geniuses like you no wonder DMOZ is in such a bad shape.

P.S. Didn't you get yourself banned for having multiple accounts in this forum?

I wouldn't bother searching for anything of substance in Gworld's posts. Much of it is quite bizarre. At one point he was even claiming to be an ODP editall. At the root of it is a disgruntled adult webmaster who can't get his sites listed. Don't give him the benefit of the doubt as I once did, you will just end up wasting your time.

    Hello otraonline :)

I presume you have read at least some of the vast number of answers given by volunteer editors in this forum, so here are two other resources to help you:
    1. A post on the Official ODP blog by the Editor-in-Chief.
    2. The FAQ of the public ODP forum at Resource-Zone.

Yes I did. I made a mistake and paid the penalty. I disremember what your several bans were for.

However dear Julian, this conversation isn't about me; it's about whether or not you can back up your claims of rampant corruption throughout ODP and at all levels. The answer would appear to be not.

I think the honesty of Meta when he registers couple of accounts in a forum matters since it shows the character of person, if you were dishonest here, do you really expect the people believe you about your honesty in other matters?

The cause of my ban was quite simple and had nothing to do with honesty. The reason is in DMOZ in internal forum for anyone to see when your gang including orlady were putting pressure on Shawn that either stop criticism of DMOZ in this forum or digitalpoint listings will be removed from DMOZ. It was before even infraction points were introduced but I think I got banned for about 1 months.

This is the usual tactic of "honest" DMOZ management, stop every talk of corruption that exposes the systematic abuse and institutional corruption in DMOZ either by threatening the moderators in forums by removal or bribing them with listing in DMOZ.
I wonder how many listings has cost DMOZ so far for trying to stop me? For a while your gang was handing out listings left and right in WPW to stop my postings. :D

    I was right then :).
You might not have understood. I'm not trying to stop you from talking about it. I'm trying to get you to provide your evidence.
