I've been noticing a sales decline since the last 3 weeks for traffic driven through adwords, overture and MSN adcenter. In the last 3 days there was no sales for any of the the three Clickbank accounts I'm managing (one for each search network). Has anyone been experiencing anything like this?
It really depends on your market. Some days are good, some days are bad. I didn't have any sales yesterday, but had one of my best days ever the day before. -T
I can never figure Clickbank sales trends out. Just when I do sales go down the drain. I track a few programs with Keyword Elite and it seems to me there are fewer and fewer info products being marketed with Adwords. But I do not study this close enough to be sure about that comment. It's just an observation.
I had been having very regular sales for a few months but the last 3 weeks, I saw many zero sales days. Been wondering why myself.
Its been almost a week since all the sales in the 3 aforementioned accounts died out. Never in the two years I have been marketing clickbank products have I seen something like this. There's been good days and bad days, but whole weeks with zero sales is a first. I suspended traffic from Overture, and kept directing traffic from adwords and msn adcenter with very decent amount of clicks. Still zero sales for the whole week. I'm going to attempt contacting Clickbank today.
That's really strange. Have you checked everything in place? Are your hoplinks working? Everything the exact same? I just ask because my sales lately have really been pretty decent, so I doubt it's a Clickbank problem specifically. -T
It might be overall market situation, other online market also drop by 30% to 40%, not too sure anybody do well for this few weeks?
In the last week or two my CB sales fell off a cliff after three fairly consistent months. Something is wrong, or a huge player stepped in to the PPC markets.
I've noticed a drop in sales but not in traffic lately. I watch the stock market closely and it doesn't look too good either. At least to me it seems to be linked to the overall economy. People are spending less.
Yes I totally agree with the OP. This is what actually led me to signing up to Clickbank, with the hope of gaining more sales through affiliates, as I am experiencing an exceptionally low amount of sales in the past few weeks in comparison to before that. Adwords takes up most of my traffic, and it has been converting much less than it used to.
perhaps try reviewing your bids on your campaigns, perhaps other are now higher therefore you aren't getting the clicks. btw --- post 200
I've been trying to educate myself on affiliate marketing before signing up for anything. I've been doing some online searching, and I've came across some interesting stuff. Do a G-search for Ben Edelman. He's an assistant professor at the Harvard Business School. Search his site for "180 solutions". The details get pretty technical but he talks about how spyware is being used to steal affiliate commissions. Not to sound paranoid, but reading stuff like this makes me reluctant to get involved at all. I can't imagine spending money promoting some affiliate, just to be ripped off. Has anyone checked their machines for spyware?
