Just wondering if anybody has had their PR go down. And if they have a reasoning behind it. I'm just worrying about my own going down and what I can do to keep it going up or steady.
Pagerank only matters if you are selling links to people who for some reason want pagerank, focus on your SERP(s).
I have one blog before that has gain a PR3. then i never got the chance to update it for how many months, so when the google PR update come, my blog falls down to PR 1..
Used to have a PR3 domain as parked, once developed it it went down to PR3 and than again PR3 on the next update. It is just a matter of how many backlinks u lose, well, it used to be a matter of how many backlinks you lose, now it can be a matter of how many backlinks you gain
PR is a contributing factor in determining your SE rankings so if you haven't noticed a change in those recently (up or down) then your PR is likely to be safe from change - this is because the little green bar just reflects the latest (usually quarterly) snapshot of a continuously changing actual PR. The key message here is focus on your SE rankings - it's these that lead to sales, not the little green bar (unless you sell links or sites based on PR of course).
He is asking how you can drop PR. The answer is losing your quality backlinks, not performing your SEO daily , and having too many outbound links then inbound.
your PR might drop if there is something wrong with your inbound links. (broken or down) or if your domain expire and you didnt renew it for a while. worse thing is you bought a expired domain with PR then you put a new content that not relevant to your inbound links, sure your PR will drop.
