It all depends on the video. If it's a tutorial video and the users watch it and think hmm I would like to see more of what they have to offer and you provide a link for them then yes it should work.

If you provide a funny video and put a link in the description then no it probably wont convert well. Same with the people who have videos and then cut off the last like 2 minutes of the video and then put something like "To see the end of this video go to www.a.com" those never work. People just click the back button and watch another video

And if you're talking about just spamming comments then pm a moderator and just ask them if they can ban you right now. I can't stand every site you go to now that has any input box there is spam all over it.

I read one interesting article about Youtube marketing. It says that people can earn money via it but it requires good video and big efforts...

I have 3 videos on YT and all 3 of them are bringing considerable traffic. Not a biggie, but works well. Recommended.

On yt you have to provide content or quantity

i have a few vids that bring 100 uniques. However, if you are not using review videos these visitors are likely not being in the buying mood

I had some mixed luck from youtube. I made money in some of the niches where some niches didn't worked out well.

Youtube is great for marketing, if you have the right product.

    Demos and teasers work well.

If you are selling video products, even better.

Traffic quantities will vary depending on your niche, but the quality of the traffic is usually pretty good and targeted, so conversions do happen.

Make sure you set up your channel with info and your URL, then go watch some videos that are in the same subject as your content and post comments. This will give you a boost.

Youtube has big money in it. Depends on what you are promoting on youtube. There are certain niches that work particularly well with youtube and some that don't click at all.

I have posted a few videos to youtube and got about 600 views total, about 3 list subscribers, and no sales. I'd like to ramp this up and do more but don't have the resources right now.

My biggest chunk of traffic comes from YouTube. I do video game commentary work with a commentary team, and I've got about 3000+ subscribers on my channel as a result. I've been slowly putting out a comedic video game playthrough for more hits, but I plan to do more off-the-cuff stuff to get more views. It definitely works if you're willing to invest in it. For internet reviewers like SpoonyOne and the Nostalgia Critic, YouTube has been a major help. In fact, Nostalgia Critic used that to start his own massively popular site, That Guy With The Glasses. So if you've got great content, and also like to work with video, it's great stuff.

I have received a lot of views from YouTube but nothing substantial and almost none of the traffic clicked through to my site.
