I've read a lot about link building and many of the books I've read say that you should ask people to link to you. Does this still work? If so, what do you think is the best way is to approach a webmaster to persuade them to link to you? I'm sure that if you send them a simple email most emails will get ignored. I don't know if asking webmasters by phone is right for me. It seems a little weird.
Well, if you are asking them, they aren't really doing it completely voluntarily, are they? That being said, no... it's probably a waste of time. If you took that same amount of time to develop your site and have cool things on it, you would get people linking to it on their own.
If you have great stuff on your site, you wouldn't need to ask anybody to link back. Just share on most social channels. If it is good, it'd get hits and linkbacks. A trick can be returned favors. If you are active at social, some may return the favors when it's your turn. Do good, get good (but for good only) Cheers!
"Organize a giveaway and see the magic! " But how do you actually promote such a giveaway?? I've now started adding free texture packs for download, but how to get the message out there??
