Has anybody from India used wire transfer to send money abroad?

    Hey guys.I have a SBI account and am just wondering if it is easy to send money abroad thru' wire transfer.The transaction amount is nearly 4000 USD.The purpose is to buy a site and so i will be sending the money to escrow.com first.

    do provide help here please.

    a wire from India is a kinda Hell.
    sbi people ask you, a copy of Passport, visa, and a declaration form.... iban, swift, etc..etc..

    No,i have not used wire transfer to transfer money abroad as they have huge fees.

    its the paper work and the questions i am worried about not the fees. this is why i hate indian banks.

    maybe sending it in smalll amounts would be a better option
