I ask this because it's the 22nd of the month and my hefty commission is not yet locked. After an email to CJ's ahem, customer service, I received a reply two days later informing me that the merchant did not have enough funds in their account to pay affiliates. I emailed CJ again today to ask if they allow their advertisers to not pay affiliates. I expect a reply in two or three more days. Has this ever happened to you guys? And if so, what happens? The company in question is a major firm. Thanks.
See... If your commission is all legal and the advertiser dont have balance in his account then the amount will be locked but not paid... and kept in pending and will be paid in next billing schedule dont worry CJ will take care of all this to recover funds and get you paid - never ever heard like pending commission are not paid because advertiser didnt had money hope this helps...
legal or illegal has nothing to do with a merchant not having funds. CJ will NOT recover funds for you they are not a collection agency and YES this Happens alot nowadays!!! I know it seems like a pain in the neck but you really should put that merchant on hold until they get there act together. Also you need to check their tos for locking some have custom ones that don't lock on the 10th for example company a is standard and locks on the 10th. company b locks 30 days after purchase/lead. So if you promote comany b and make a sale on the 21st of the month your commissions will not lock for 30 days and you will not be paid until the next payout. Kinda confusing but that is the way it goes. (infogle....I have had $50 locked in my account for almost 4 months now, I would love to know where you pulled your info from?)
