    I know he didn't die.

But even JK Rowling said that he was going to die before releasing the book.

It was a rumor, he didn't die nor live. The protection that is brought by his connection with Voldemort made him survive the Avada Kedavra. Harry could have died. Dumbledore said so -- Harry had the choice to get back to living or continue on beyond the veil.

Correct. And as far as I could remember, it was at the King's Cross.

well you know theres like two other books

    the hobbit and the similarion.

Both are good but i heard the similarion even rivals the trilogy, from what i've heard about it, its even more badass because theres wizards, elves, dragons, a dude like sauron but even bigger named morgoth, check out this pic and tell me you don't wanna read a book like this.

oh and to clarify the similarion is actually part of the lord of the rings trilogy kinda, its like 3,000 years before the lord of the rings or something.

The books are great IMO. Yes, I do find several faults with it, but as an idea, the pluses greatly outweigh the minuses.

Have a look at ff.net's statistics.

HP has close to 3,40,000 fanfics written.

Its closest competitor, LOTR, has only 40,000.

Yeah, the movies are cool. Never read any of the books or have any interest in reading them.

Meh, so many details that are lacking in the movies are in the books.
