Nope, Voldemort did tonnes of evil curses and shit to come back. Harry wouldn't be strong enough to do that. xP

    yeah, agreed!

But Rowling is very clever, she might devise a very cunning plot for Harry's return, you never know...;)

Seconded. I think they take about as long as other films to make. If anything, much quicker because Daniel keeps getting older. Damn him.

    I third that ;)

I'm a filmmaking student and understand how complex and expensive it can be to make a movie. And when its about harry potter, expectations are sky high! :D

I enjoied the books. They started off very much as light childrens books but get darker. They are not all the same the quality tends to wax and wane at random so I hope this one is a good one to end with.

I think she wants to books to grow up with the reader. It's a great idea; it means we don't get bored with "baby books". ^^

Or maybe she discovered that even adults were enjoying her books that were initially targeted towards adolescents, and hence her books grew more and more adult friendly, especially when we talk about violence.

But the best thing perhaps is the suspense that is etched in all her books, the suspense of "what happens next.." :)

I don't want Harry to die! I think many will agree with me, especially the children who considers Harry as their idol/hero.

Yeah, totally agree with you. If harry dies, then Rowling's subtext of good over evil will be trashed to pieces. Its like good won over the evil, but died in the process. The reward of being good!

Harry just generally annoys me. All the stuff he gets away with? Any other kid would have had their wand taken away from them. xP

aaah, you struck the right card. Even I find some of the changes they make in the movies quite annoying. But yet I collect them, for they're Harry Potter's after all.

I especially disliked the way Dumbledore's character was enacted in the 4th movie....he looked like an angry irritable fool in that one. On the other hand, the books displayed him as the wise, calm, serene and yet a very powerful wizard...

But yeh, some changes are allowable in the movies considering the fact that the books are too large to fit into a movie and need the trim job
