If i try to open my PC , but it's stading 30 seconds at "detecting IDE drivers" and then show me this error" No valid primary 80 cable semiconductor found" , and the PC is locking down , is this meaning that my harddisk is fucked-up?!

It's 6:00 AM here, and I am think I will comite suicide ! If my hard disk is gona, I lost 2-3 months of work :(

    You are using ATA HDD..

    There are two possibilities -
    1) You have 80 conductor cable (ATA cable) and your cable is faulty
    Suggestion: replace your cable

    2) You have 40 conductor cable installed (Non-ATA IDE cable)
Suggestion: Buy a new 80 conductor (ATA Standard) cable.
