Hardrive Advice 10k or Raid1

    Ok im thinking about upgrading my hardrive, which setup would be faster?

    2 x 250GB Sata 7200rpm hardrives in RAID 1

    OR

    1 x 40GB 10krpm for Vista 64 and and 500GB 7200rpm for files and storage

    It depends on what Raid card are you using, some Raid cards throughput are much better than others. If budget is not an issue I would recommend maybe a Raid 5 SaS 73 GB x 4

    No, it would be in Raid 1, the price is an issue. :)

    I am sorry to bother all of you, but I have to set up a server and configure RAID, could any off you direct me to a site or any other posts on this forum explaining what I can do. I have searched and come up empty handed. Sorry! & thanks in advance.:confused:
