I am quite pleased when I look at my stats. I hope I can keep this rate of growth up for a while and I will have a decent amount of traffic.
I didn't cut any corners and I didn't find the holy grail that so many people here are waiting for. Just working on my site and adding content and doing a little bit of link exchange. Nothing too special, just following the basic rules that so many have outlined here on DP (thanks to everyone).

    Why am I posting this?
Just to show that people should be patient with their projects. My numbers aren't what others claim, but my sustained growth rate is what really makes me happy.

Yes, as you mentioned a sustained growth rate, i think thats very important, of course were always reading here of quick spikes in traffic from a particular method, but to have a nice steady growth i think would be more satisfying for most, i know i would prefer that.

And if you know that what your doing is working, then its mostly a case of continuing with what your doing and improving bit by bit.

Pleased to hear of your steady progress.

Thanks everyone. I am quite happy that this works too. I guess it all comes down to continuously working on a project and not getting frustrated if the traffic isn't great during the first months.

I would be interested to see your traffic stats in a years time. If your growth remains consistent than you really are doing well...

Congratulations on your growth. This is very encouraging. Many people are looking for that magic formula to make their websites an instant success because they read about people/sites that hit the internet scene and take over. They do not realize that these sites constitute a very small percentage of the sites out there and that most successful sites take years to get anywhere.

    I thought, I'd give a quick update:
Since August last year (when I made this post) I have more than quadrupled my number of daily uniques. Winter was a bit slow but this week traffic picked up beyond everything I have ever imagined (all organic, no social networking stuff, no shady link building campaigns).
I have basically re-invested a major portion of my income:

    An easy example:
If I make $10 and re-invest it, I can make $20 the next month.
    If I reinvest that $20 I can make $40 ....
This is exactly the exponential growth everyone is looking for.
If I take the $10 and put it in my pocket, my site will only make $10 the next month ...
Well, growth is not doubling every month. I estimate that a $10 investment has a $2 return for the next month ....
Nevertheless, I plan to keep this trend for a while.
