Hard update

It seems as if Google is doing an update right now. I've seen a few competitors go down 10 spots, many new sites on first page. And my most recent site, that had only the home page indexed, today shows 479 pages at Google.

I am just happy I kept my top-10 spot ;)

fryman, which ip are these updates coming from - all of them?

not seeing anything new ... just the usual daily caching, and crawling.

There's updates every hour on G search :) Fluctuations of the results are nothing new.

I see regular movement in my keyword tracker tool all the time. I think that google updates all the time. Every couple of months or so we see major changes that have to do with data they probably can't process on a daily basis. My weight calculation is still the same, so I would say that a major update probably hasn't happened - just something regular going on - or maybe something was triggered in your niche. I've long hypothesized that the number of searches on a given set of keywords can trigger a major change. I don't have any data to prove it, but I have noticed in areas that I monitor big changes when the rest of google seems to have seemed pretty static.

I agree that results update every day. What I found interesting is that my new site had almost 500 new pages showing as indexed.

I think Google has been updating the last few days. I have seen a couple sites pop up out of no where.
