I am one user who haven't change his mind and will never change.
Most of users who didn't like the "change", didn't bother to say their opinion, but just went away. I have over 50 likes and I've noticed from myself, I visit the forum about once a day for 5-10 mins.
The "like" system just got in the wrong way. There are better alternatives to make the forum better.

For those who can not get likes, I have posted recently (in this section) a way to get likes easily.

    Hello

For my case, I'm trying to get like to acces to the affiliate Sub forum.
Unfortunately, I won't post to post and try to get them.
If I have something really interesting OK, else no.

So I guess I'll never get the 3 likes needs and because of this, I'm just going to leave and go in another forum where you don't need to pay ...

I won't that you want to make money, but I don't like this principle to tax membre who gave you your notoriety.

Anyway, I guess my road stops there.

Established members don't like the posts that often, even if the post is good enough.
So I think there is a problem here.

yes, DP should allow people to make money right after they have an established account. However I'm really happy for Bloraud, just got one like, from a reputed DP member
Still 2 far away. Its been hardtime for myself :(

Not sure what you mean... There is no fee or anything you can pay to get premature access to the area you are interested in (affiliate programs). You can interact with threads there already, just not start new ones is all.

yes, affiliate area has free access. may be the user is trying to talk about the marketplace section or he is not aware of where the likes come into action probably

No, In the Affiliate Program you need to be a etablish membrer to post a new message.
So well of course I can reply to a topic and turn off the first discution and start my own but it's not fair for the personn who start the topic, it's mean I don't have any respect at all and because each person is special, each situation need a different topic (I think).

Well if you want to be etablish member without likes it's not free of charges !

Well if you are measuring your "time" as costing something, then yes... everything you do on this site isn't free because it costs your time to do things like write a post.

Well right, but there is a difference between :
    - given money
    - given your time

The second one, most of people are aware the first one depends of the product and the person.
In my case, I think it's too expensive to buy a membership if it's only to ask few question !
So I'll try to be patient or leave if it's not working !

Well, like I said... no amount of money or purchasing premium membership would let you start threads in the affiliate program section prematurely. So if that's the area you are interested in, the ONLY option you have is the route of giving your time.

I agree with this post... I had iTrader's in the old system, and I did not receive any likes! So I don't understand why they would choose to convert iTrader to likes....

My gripe is that they should have thought of a better system for people who has had a good standing account for over a certain period of time... that would have been fair!

    Completely agree with you

How about the guy that just want to hire someone to do their logo?

I really dont have anything to contribute as i am not some kind of programmer or SEO agent.

Just an old customer trying to hire the ones that are looking for a job.

So what is stopping you from replying to any number of people who have started threads and are waiting to be hired to design your logo?

Normally i perform contest as i get multiple entries and amazing logos. Last time i hire just one guy ( which was last week ) and told him that ill hire him as i cant post on buy/sell section. He then added the basic crappiest logo and demanded more money for an upgrade. Of course he took advantage that i can post anything on buy/sell section and he just replied to post on the buy/sell section to get a better logo..... he knows i cant.

    Staff can verify my inbox

Anyways i prefer to use the contest section, at the meantime ill just see what i can contribute on the movies section as that's the only thing i THINK i can contribute. -__-

Try to welcome the members with more affection from next time. Do not worry, if you are doing good for this forum and contributing something useful, you will be an established member one day.

I've just visited this forum again after a while. Don't know why some people do not like the new rule. Actually, I love to see the new "Buy, Sell or Trade" section. The threads there stay longer on the first page now and definitely it will be a great benefit to the good and serious sellers or buyers (who think positively of course); and I will be one of them.

    Satan help us all! :p

Does anyone who felt it was hard to get likes after the initial change now feel it's easier? Compared to getting rep? (Either positive or negative. :p)

The other option is to become a premium member, if you are in too much of a hurry to wait for likes.
