I wanted to build a new file server for my home network... I need to get 5 sata drives of as big as I can get. I don't follow computer hardware pricing to know what is a good deal other then comparing sites. So far the best deal I have found is 114$ for Western Digital 320GB SATA 8MB Cache 7200RPM (WD3200JD) @ monarchcomputer I need to pull the trigger on this pretty quick cause my old box is on its last leg. So if anyone has any better deal lemme know.
check out newegg.com. They are located in Los Angeles (county) and they have some really good deals, fast turn around and cheap, cheap, cheap shipping. I have bought a bunch of stuff from them and you can read people's reviews of the products on their site. I might go with Seagate drives though as I have had a couple of friends recently who have had WD drives go down. $114 for a 320GB SATA drive sounds super cheap though...almost too cheap.
Good price. My hard drives love to crash so I've gone to seagate with there 5 year warrenty. Here is a deal over at amazon. If you have any AWS sites you maybe able to use some of that revenue. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0001407XU/ref=nosim/techbargainscom/104-4989187-6049505
