I also got nothing, nada, zip. I am trying to teach my hubby and kids that you do not have to spend money to give a nice gift. A small gesture with lots of thought is all i ever want but when i make a comment about not getting anything my husband throws it back in my face saying, you told me not to buy you anything. You would think after eight years of marriage he would get it by now but every year he fails. Well i suppose he is consistent, that is one thing.

Well, since you posted this thread, I thought I'd share my wife's pains. I believe she got the worst gift of all, when in the morning she picked up our 1 year old and found and unpleasant odor while giving him a hug. She had successfully received a smelly package as her gift on Mother's Day. I couldn't help but let out a chuckle myself but was immediately stared down .

 

Right after I posted earlier, my son called and I told him all about this contest. He felt sheepish and brought home some nice gifts. They were late, but they were much better than what he grabbed for me at the convenience store on Sunday.

Well I certainly didn't get the turnout that I thought I would get, but I have to say a dirty diaper shouldn't be much problem for a mother.

I have to say the winner by default is Bingohoney. I know it was a year ago but that truly is sad. The one thing I hope never happens to me is that I outlive my kids.
