This thread is simply made because I wanted to share a bit of my happiness with the members of this forum. Yesterday Nickelodeon released a website that was highly advertised on their site. Apparently on my forum, one of my members had posted about the site about a week before it was released. This allowed my site to be number 2 in google when you search for the name of the website. (Number 1 wasn't even nick.com...) Either way, I have been getting a huge amount of traffic recently and about a 925% increase in revenue - all thanks to nickelodeons advertising dollars. It's great. There really is no reason to posting this except to encourage members to install SEO mods to their forums.
I use Vbulletin with the following: + dani_web_seo - it was free and not too bad to install. + zoints Tag mod which helped quite a bit. Revenue for yesterday was over $100 just from that site - most coming from the 1 search term (most of the rest being return visits and other search terms I'm number 1 in) ^^ - 0 dollars spent on advertising hehe.
