I hope this isn't seen as a pointless thread, I just thought I'd announce that on November 10th 1985, windows was release.. ALTHOUGH wikipedia says it was released on the 20th? Either way windows is around 23 years old. Find out more about Windows 1.0 at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_1.0 So, who is celebrating and who is groaning?
yeah, I think they should make windows 7 clean and simple, not full off useless memory-using features as vista was. Also they should start on open source products, perhaps even a microsoft Linux to replace windows server? Wouldn't make them money (well maybe some) but it would improve their image and in the end that could save the companies life.
Recently they have invested millions for a Linux based project!! Well i think they know to survive in the market ...
Happy belated bday Windows! Hope by the next bday there will be a new OS, or at least plans for a new one to be released shortly afterwards.
great to hear that! and yeah they've been through alot (browser wars, search engine wars, bad responses from the public, legal issues.. they know how to survive
After 23 years, this product made Bill Gates the richest man in the world, who would've guessed, right?
Great milestone and great product Still. Today also there are lots and lots of windows users so we should not forget that.
