Love it or not, Internet Explorer passed its 15 birthday not long ago. From IE 1 to upcoming IE 9 beta, it passed 15 years. How exciting.
If IE9 doesn't hit the market BIGTIME then I think the next celebration would be Death Anniversary to Internet Explorer. The past few months stats show that IE is really declining its market browser share BIG TIME. Google Chrome is really showing and stepping up as a big competitor while Mozilla Firefox still stays at the top. Can't wait for the official Firefox 4 to be released!
If it has been 15 years now I bet they wish they could go back and re-do things a bit. Never been a fan of ie myself. The only reason why I think they have made it this far is because they are made by microsoft. If it were a smaller company they would have been out of the picture a long time ago. That's what happens I guess when you push your product into every windows based pc out there...you can hang around for 15 years.
No doubt still internet explorer has its own worth in among other search engines, like as, firefox, chrome and safari....etc
waiting for the new version although i don't use it regular but i always check its new version. Its surprising 15th birthday of IE
I am still using IE over the last 9 years and no plan to change the browser at the moment. But I use firefox browser for debuging html codes Any way Happy brithday IE
Do you also use stone tools every day? Join the 21st century and use ANY other browser and see what you've been missing.
Because those who don't know anything will think IE9 is a good browser because they will be dazzled by the pretty blinking lights while, in reality, IE9 will continue to be the worst browser on the planet and a pain in every web developer's side. Not only will we have to write code for IE9 but also IE6, 7 and 8.
Hi) cant say that i use IE every day but i use it) and i dont think that those who use it r in previous generation! i know that i will use IE 9, oh, and congratulations to IE of course)))
Many people use IE. I think more than 50% of netizens. Mozilla only used by webmasters. Common people always like to use IE.
Which means 50% do NOT use IE. The fact that "webmasters", the people who know the most about how the web works, do not use IE should tell you something.
Webmasters hate IE because it's a pain in the ass to get your own website to render correctly in IE... But if you as a webmaster made the website in IE, then you would find all the other browsers a pain in the ass because they didn't render your website correctly. You as a webmaster, are just lazy.
I will be happy in the day they say will never ever again release other IE. The designs of my site where a pain in the ass to configure to IE, how can anyone still use it anyway? :frusty:
Even i don't use it, HAPPY BIRTHDAY I. EXPLORER! Best wishes in your coding, your site viewing. Grow up bigger, and make up to your daddy, Microsoft!
