Happy 79th birthday McDar, those nine years you have on Compar make you our senior member, we love you buddy
Ha Ha Thanks, Guys!!!! anthony, I may have said I was older than dirt! But, I NEVER said I was older than compar Caryl
Well tell us a bit about yourself then, were you born in the 40's, 50's ? We do not need the exact date, just close, we need a bit of info to develop come backs to make fun of you in the future We do know that you support John Kerry, thank God for McDar, he is a good man. Now all we have to do is try to vote in America, want to stand in line for hours, you may be able to vote. Something is wrong with that picture Caryl, you should see the lines in Florida, that will keep many from voting. Have fun, how did you become such a big shot at Digital Point man?
Anthony, I was born in 1952 I now consider myself fortunate to have experienced a few short years when America was still enveloped in the cloak of innocence. Those wonderous years in America between September 2, 1945 and November 22, 1963 that people believed that the road to their future and all future generations was paved with lasting peace and prosperity. A couple of years ago, I asked an Aunt of mine if the "fifties" were really that good, or did I just remember them that way because I was a child. She looked me in the eye and said, "no Caryl, it was not just that you were seeing them through a childs eyes, they really were that good! It was because we were not afraid to dream of a bright future and believed the world would now choose to live in peace as we had ended the war to end all wars." I certainly am no "big shot" at digitalpoint. In fact most of my posts are just updates of the experiment. I think most people just know of me because the the tools I have made. Thanks again, everyone and thanks for suffering through my little bla-bla above. Caryl
Hey Caryl, those really were good years, 1959 for me, I remember those days, both of my parents had good jobs in the Tire Manufacturing business. Manufacturing was king in America, unions were strong, wages and benefits were great, the cost of living was not overbearing, gas was .15 cents a gallon. Every business was not out to gouge their customers, their was little or no "white collar crime". Yes those were America's best years, but now we are in a period of decline as our leaders feel that they have some right to steal every dime in the treasury for the benefit of themselves and their friends. Hell they stole the last election and are making a strong effort to steal this one. I wish you the best and only hope that America can return to the values of the Generation you and I witnessed. I know that will never happen though, the Vietnam war and the "Nixon Oil Boys" have changed the whole game. Now unless you are "Jack the Ripper" it is hard to make (steal) a living in America.
