Handyman domain topic is city or type of repair more important in the domain keyword..... please observe and add your expert opinions as best possible

Question for your seo profession can you honestly say it with the most usable knowledge base you can attest too.... i am looking to purchase a really hot and very targeted handyman domain... at this time I am asking for you expert advice.... on pinpointing the best domain for it ... heres what ive gathered
#1: I was looking at buying a good keyword relevant to the area I live in Oahu Hawaii - so figured if I bought handyman-oahu.com ide be good ass gold -I also noticed that maybe oahu-handyman-repair.com was very good..... I prefer the dashes so please understand thats what I want the domain with dashes.. for the best anchor text domain...
#2: I did a search for handyman Florida to see where handymans where coming up and what domains came of for that search query on page 1 of Google... what I found was amazingly new: the best or highest domain on google was handymanroofing.com not handymanroofingflorida.com - in an effort to buy a domain simalar ... ive hered Dan say putting the stae or name of city was not good I dea... that domain I found was very relevant to his observation....
#3: the bottom line here is from your expert opinions would it be better withe cityname or like handyman-oahu.com or would a domain name like handyman-windows.com be better... between the fine lines it is what im looking forward to dominate the engine for .... handyman door, repairs, bathrooms, kitchens, lanai.s, etc........ can you be as accurate as possible on what domain would rank higher and get the most traffic based on wich keywords I use.. between these two here handyman-windows.com - handyman-oahu.com

    1) Domains with dashes and without dashes are all treated the same, I would say keep it simple and short to remember, and have your keyword in it.
2)It depends on the seo of the site, and other factors such as backlinks, somewhat pagerank, and web page, if your company is local and you think people will put the city/state name while searching, then go for it.
3)Again, both domains are okay in my opinion, but you will need to do seo for your site in order to gain top rankings.

"need to do seo for your site in order to gain top rankings" I agree but in your expert opinion wich of one will be best suitable in the major searches ... also like you said the one with the city name... I herd from D Shculz .. that targeting the city some se's rollover it .... whats your pick one out of these two ... handyman-windows.com - handyman-oahu.com

    Hi,

I prefer a name with NO dash. It is a lot easier to remember by your visitors.
Search engine will find your 2 keywords in a single name like handymanrepair.com

If I am looking for a handyman, I will look around my house first. As your site will be for locals, you can use a local name like handymanhawaii.com or something like it, depending the area you will accept contracts. Find a name your costumers will remember as well as web visitors.

Imagine yourself telling someone your url.
1-Visit my website at (( oahu dash handyman dash repair dot com. Don't forget the dash between the words ))

2-Visit my website at (( oahuhandymanrepair doc com all in one word ))

I think Number 2 is easier to remember. Note that Oahu-Handyman-Repair.com is not registered but is used by someone from Kapaa.

Don't use handyman-windows or doors, etc as it will show your visitors that you offer only that service.

Now for the length. The shorter the better. That name is long. Why have repair in the domain. You can use that word in your content and use it in keywords with others.

Being on top of search engines depends on the efforts you will invest in your web project. I don't believe in quick results but on consistent work to get on top of all experts. Backlinks, keywords, content are important to search engines.

Dont forget that content is king. Articles, blogs, newsletter on repairs are only a few of the tools you can use to be known as the expert in your region.

You domain name wont make you hit high on search engines. It is all the SEO work that you will do. Marketing, relevant backlinks, keywords, content are all important to have a successful website.

    This is my humble opinion.

I think it comes down to what you want to rank for. Are you a jack of all trades or a handyman of one? If the local keyword gets very few searches then it's pointless having it included in the domain name.

name with dashed do well, but too large names is wat ive yet to try, 2 words name is ok, but does help for those words to top
most imp is the cost of name, if the cost is reasonable and u feel roi will be fair enough then go premium

assumed your talking about the .com .net .info .org correct>>>>>>> the best is .com by far ... ive studied extensions and that is the far better one .... even though some experts might argue that in the long run the .com has more popularity online over all the rest unless you know otherwise .... for me it is business small-handyman.biz business ...also thanks for commenting on the dash theory ....... ive looked many domain and see that dashes are critical when se's begin to parse the query and look for anchor text ....

If you can have 2 keyword domain it good but it all depends on your keywords and the content of your site. Great success of a web site comes from different things, and the domain can be one of them. But the best domain would be what people are looking for (ex: pencils.com) if your' selling pencils would be a great name. If I sold pencils with us flag printed on them, I would try to get americanpencils.com

You have to find the right domain that will express what your product is or the audience you're tagerting.

lol..... green reps see CP ........ that's so precisely correct....... thats why I selected Oahu-Handyman.com..... after a briefing from top seo firms in India and USA .. are you using a paid keyword research tool...... if so do favor and see if Oahu-Handyman.com is the bees choice ...

keyword tracker says the word Oahu has 2,900 searches... and word Handyman has 3,700 daily searchers........ now who could not egnore the seo relevancy in a single domain ....... for years to come it will generate unique traffic on its own .........
