    Hi,

I figured this out for myself, it's not much but I thought I'd share it with you :).

You know how after a certain period of time, it's impossible to edit posts without contacting a moderator? There is a (sneaky) way to get around that (kind of).

What you do, is after your post or wherever you want to make it so that you can add text afterward, put an image that dosent exist in, but inside your hosting. Eg for me, i'd use

    http://s185.photobucket.com/albums/x58/Heckytorr/postupdate.gif.

Then, if I wanted to add something to my post, I'd create an image with that name, type the updated text into the picture, and upload it to my photobucket account. The picture can also be edited afterward. :)

I'm sure someone will have already done that, but hey :).

I do that for contests that I run over here because people don't read past the first post and I want to let them know the offer is over. I'm sure a lot of others do this.

Neat idea... I just post replies, but you're right, people usually only read the first message :)

Well arent you just a genius :).

What happened once, is that it was a logo contest, they wanted a logo done on a background, but there was a logo in the way, so I removed the logo and posted it for everyone to use. The CH then edited the OP and included my picture, hosted on my host.

When the contest was over, I edited the post to say "Contest over, well done (person)".

    :)
