Handling small transactions

    Hey all,

I am curious to know how you handle smallish transactions (<$75 via PayPal) for graphics/services/domains/etc? As a buyer, do you prefer to pay half of the amount up-front and the rest once you get the goods? Do you handle it some other way? Do you create a contract of some sort?

    Thanks
    James

As a buyer, i will send full amount...If i cant get the goods, i can report to Paypal....

For other payment method, i may just send half of amount and the rest after i get the goods.

I generally just do what the designer asks. Some ask for half up front some ask for it all after the work has been completed.

Obviously I prefer to pay after, just to make sure everything is completed the way I want it, but 50/50 is reasonable as well.

The same for me. I'd never buy something if I'm not sure the seller will deliver it, so when I buy I pay the full amount before I get the product.
I never saw anywhere that half split, when you pay a half before and a half after you get the goods, but to me it seems very reasonable.

    Good Luck :D

Paypal is the safest and fairest for both parties. Disputing aspect takes care of it for buyer, and seller is prepaid, so covered. The half-half principle doesn;t work out well, usually, as many buyers short-change sellers. I have been stung way too many times, myself;) Some ppl feel virtual goods and svcs are free.

If I don't feel I can trust the person, I will not do business with them. Otherwise. if they want the amount up front, I don't care.

Don't work with some one who give a "Great Deal" but looks shaky.
